Two research groups from the Institute of Biological Sciences are based at the Marine Science Center:

• The ‘Sensory and Cognitive Ecology’ research group led by Prof. Dr Guido Dehnhardt
• The “Neuroethology” research group led by Prof. Dr Frederike D. Hanke.
