Research into the abilities of marine mammals, octopuses and penguins is being carried out – and has been carried out – on the institute’s research vessel, the ‘Lichtenberg’, which is moored at the Hohe Düne Marina. Visitors are warmly invited to experience scientific life first-hand from the observation decks of the institute’s research vessel (Science live).
