The lab at university is located within the Institute of Biological Sciences. The spacious laboratory wings house, amongst other things, a measurement system for carrying out Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). PIV is a measurement technique that enables the visualisation and analysis of very fine fluid flows. This involves the use of high-powered lasers and requires numerous computers for data analysis.
