WPM Biology of the senses

In this module, the concepts of sensory biology from the evolution of the senses up to characteristics of single sensory systems and perception shall be presented. The students will then get to know the sensory abilities of model organisms. The aim is to understand senses as interface between environment and organism and how certain behaviors such as orientation, navigation, and foraging reflect the specific life history and habitat.
